Göttingen LL.M. in European and Transnational IP and IT Law
Göttingen LL.M. in European and Transnational Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (LIPIT) is a postgraduate program directed at providing the in-depth understanding of legal issues arising from the creation and use of literary or artistic works, mechanical or scientific inventions, digital information, and other intangible assets. Because it is more and more common for transactions with intellectual property and information technology products to transcend national boundaries, this LL.M. Program is conceived as distinctly international and comparative in nature. Solutions from various legal systems are often presented when examining modern problems of the IP and IT law, and cases spreading over two or more countries are regularly discussed and analyzed. One consequence of such an approach is that this Program is suitable for lawyers and other professionals from different countries, rather than being limited to one particular jurisdiction.

University Summer School/ 暑期学校

Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz Summer School 2018
The Faculty of Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Geosciences of the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz is organizing an international and interdisciplinary Summer School (held from September 03rd to 09th) entitled “Global Change – Technological, Societal and Ecological Transitions on the Move”.

The term “Global Change” is understood to mean all processes and dynamics which are transforming the environmental systems of the earth and the social systems of humans. This includes all processes of globalization and transformation through political, economic, ecological and technical developments.

In the 21st century the dynamics of “Global Change” are intensifying and becoming more potent. They can only be controlled to a limited extent by social organizations and conventional institutions. Human activities in the world have risen to a pitch at which both nature and human society are being constantly modified and recreated. The increasing digitalization of everyday life is not only transforming interpersonal communication, it is also creating a new social world. Time-space compression is apparently constructing a global society, but on the regional level, local identities are developing with different ways of living and thinking. The events and impact of “Global Change” can be seen in transformations of nature (landscapes, water bodies, the atmosphere) and the changing of the social, economic, and political world.

The Forster Summer School offers you the great chance to discuss actual issues regarding the technological, societal and ecological transitions of Global Change with key note speakers, lecturers, and your peers from around the world.

Applications must be submitted by 20th June 2018 using the website https://www.fb09.uni-mainz.de/forster-summer-school/ .

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Mainz!
