FUB-CSC PhD Program 2019
Freie Universität Berlin (FUB) and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) signed agreements (2008 and 2018) for promoting high quality research opportunities for doctoral students from outstanding Chinese universities. With more than 400 CSC scholarship holders, Freie Universität Berlin is one the most important host university in Germany.
The FUB-CSC Program for PhD students works as follows: FUB offers the PhD positions and the doctoral training (without the charge of tuition); the CSC provides the scholarship.

The 30 open PhD positions, offered by professors of the FUB, covering all subject areas (except Engineering), particularly in Sciences:
- Biology (Botany, Ecology etc.)
- Bioinformatics, Mathematics & Computer Sciences
- Physics (Nano-Science)
- Earth Sciences (Geochemistry, Applied Physical Geography)
- Veterinary Medicine
Positions in Humanities and Social Sciences:
- China Studies (Politics, Artificial Intelligence)
- Economics (Welfare Economics, AI)
- Islamic Studies (Graduate School)
- Ancient Near Eastern Studies (Assyriology)
